We're conducting an unsanctioned/informal survey. It's mostly about how people who play SFZero interact with the game's website. This is almost entirely out of curiosity, and is not particularly scientifical.
Please visit http://mnzero.org/site/page/pg3072.html and fill out our questionnaire. You can be anonymous (thanks to whoever already filled in "none of your business" and "No" to everything, yes yes we got it down for you) or you can spill your guts. Redacted results to be posted. Eventually.
Thanks in advance! Aren't you curious?

SFZerians, I call out to you all!
You have radically changed the world you live in. You have made beauty, found joy, created interesting things. You have found a way, always. You have shown that the impossible can be achieved.
And now, let's do something more.
Together, we are going to write a book and publish it.
We will fill this book with riveting tales of tasking and praxis, SFZerian culture, epic events, small anecdotes and poems, essays on the game and philosophy, a story with an intriguing plot, a set of clues which lead to a treasure, and pretty much whatever else will make for a good read.
We can do this. But to do it, we need YOU (and you and you and you...) to contribute! Let's make this a reality.
If you want to take part in the creation of this book (and who wouldn't?), sign up for this event - you'll receive a message with more details about the book, and how you can contribute to it.
Let's do this thing!
July 11th, 2008 @ 12:00am TO August 1st, 2008 @ 12:00am
Make an artist trading card depicting any of your chosen player's player photographs and mail it off to them as a gift! The only rule is the 2.5 by 3.5 inch size (64 x 89 mm) - other than that, go crazy!
Please feel free to:
1) create as many as you like.
2) arrange to trade with other participants.
3) join this event even if you've already completed the related task.
All ATCs should be finished and in the mail by Friday, August 1st.
Let's go postal and free some art!
This event is a gift for Auntie Matter, Julian Muffinbot, and all other semi-retired mail artists here at SF0.

So I saw this today and immediately started repeating all my favorite parts to myself in my head... and then thought,
"Who, oh who, will go with me to see this wonderful bit of brat pack history?"
Then responded to myself "oh, my silly crazy friends will go".
Now, let's set aside the fact that I talk to myself on a regular basis and focus on the fact that The Breakfast Club will be showing on Sat July 26th at dusk in Dolores Park (which I discovered for the first time this past weekend). Double win!
If some of you are too young to know what the breakfast club is *cough*Someone*cough* then I insist you come to be properly educated on the best of the worst of the 80s (or is it the worst of the best? It's hard to tell with the 80s).
I also suggest organizing a pic nic... I like pic nics.
** EDIT**
I plan to bring blankets for sitting, pillows for leaning, and pic nic nomables for eating. Pic Nic participation is greatly appreciated.

RCR is a 36-hour, NYC-to-Montreal, backroads-only competive road trip for which all whips must be commandeered from the likes of Hertz, Avis, Zipcar, and Enterprise (they'll pick you up!). Starting Aug. 15 at midnight from the Water Taxi Beach parking lot, drivers and their crews (2 minimum, no max) will motor across Manhattan to Jersey, then head north for their first timed check-in: a group breakfast in Adirondack Park, where 3 million acres of pristine wilderness will soak up the combined carbon footprint of a convoy of Chevy Malibus. Teams must cross the border by noon, clock in, then repair to lodgings until the mandatory 10pm-2am party in an undisclosed location on Montreal's outskirts: free beer & grub, plus screenings of car classics like Cannonball and Two-Lane Blacktop (sadly, it's BYO Herbie Fully Loaded).
Teams race back to NYC starting 8am Sunday. Awards are held at Water Taxi Beach, with cash prizes, various sponsor giveaways, and trophies made from gold-schlacked vintage gas pump handles for best team style. That eye's sure gonna hurt coming out.
Sign ups end August 9th
August 16th, 2008 @ 12:00am
The theme will be Alice in Wonderland.
Minch Niddle and Spidere are very excited to be putting together an SF0 Prom! Most of the details (including venue) are still to be determined--but we have decided that it will happen, and we expect that it will be fantastic.
August 26th, 2008 @ 1:00pm TO August 28th, 2008 @ 11:00am
If this ever happens, this'll be when and where!
If the SF/Chicago/DC/etc. people can all do it, why can't we? A (hopefully epic) gathering of all players affiliated with UK0 to eat, task and be merry - feel free to come along and join in the fun!
(Any and all details may change when we realise we've bitten off more than we could chew.)
UPDATE: Tentative Itinerary!
Tuesday
Everyone try to get here around 1 pm-ish, and we'll meet at Central Milton Keynes Rail Station (map). From there nothing's planned as of yet for monday afternoon/evening, so if there's any tasks you want to do post them on the comment wall.
Wednesday
Get up, breakfast, etc.
Then: A completion of epic proportions for this task is planned!
Afternoon: Journey to the End of the Mid-Afternoon and/or Nuclear Tag!
Dinner at some restaurant or other, then an evening of fun & games, and a video podcast might be on the agenda...
Thursday
...nothing much yet, go home at some point I'd imagine :P
Things to bring
I'd suggest, aside from the obvious (toothbrush, clothes, etc. - i don't need to tell you them, you're not 10)
I'd suggest a sleeping bag, money for food and bus fares, and a hammer wouldn't go amiss if you have one. Also, don't forget to bring a healthy sense of adventure!
More to be confirmed nearer the date.
September 13th, 2008 @ 6:30pm
Coming September 13, 2008.
Visit MNZero.org for ongoing news, rsvp, participate in planning, etc.
in heat or cold we will run
rain or shine, we will run
rise of cool green sleep or fall of fiery brave life we will run
we will run and they will give chase and the city will be ours again
and we will remember the sweet kiss of concrete beneath our feet
we will dance the joyful bitter of pursuit in our hands
our hearts leaping in our throats
our lungs bursting for fear and wonder or just for laughter for laughter
in the brief flash of day above the grave we will run
Date no longer subject to change.
September 19th, 2008 @ 7:30pm TO September 20th, 2008 @ 12:00am
The Architect
designs a city to be lived in,
but does not live there.
The Urchin
is part of the city,
but not part of the design.

Your identity is your only separation from destitution. Liars, Cheaters and Theives can take away everything, even your Name, if they catch you. The Architect designs carefully to keep the nameless from using the city, but Secrets can be found in the alleys, the open lots, and the cracks between buildings - the Urchin cannot be excluded forever...
GAME SYNOPSIS:
1) Search the city for hidden locations where you can stamp your map. 8 stamps are required to enter the finish line.
2) Steal another player's Name by tagging them. The player who accumulates the most Names before reaching the finish line wins.

Here's a chance to play Helen of Troy and launch a thousand ships.
We're going to launch a thousand oragami boats on the boating lake in Canon Hill Park, Birmingham.
Getting to Canon Hill Park:
Buses from City Centre: No.1 (to Edgbaston Road), 45 & 47 (to Pershore Road)
There is a large car park off Edgbaston Road, opposite the Warwickshire Cricket Ground, near the Mac entrance. A small car park is located off the Russell Road entrance.
Nearest train station: University and then walking to Canon Hill Park.
If you're planning on coming let me know how many boats you're bringing and I can add you to the praxis.
Bring digital cameras and be prepared for all kinds of weather. This event will go ahead even in the pouring rain.
